The Living Knowledge Database is a free, public accessible resource for science shops and alike organisations, community-based (research) organisations, universities and policy makers world-wide. The database is an interactive 'information warehouse', that gives you information about who is active in community based research, what are the topics involved and where you can find these organisations. It is an on-line resource that brings together information on community-based research organisations from around the world. The Living Knowledge database is searchable on (type of) organisation, people, country and (thematic) expertise in community based research, all over the world.
If your organisation is active in community-based research, you are invited to add your information to the Living Knowledge Database!
The database will be most useful for those searching for information on community-based research organisations if you would enter your information and maintain your own information on a regular base basis.
To keep the database updated, with information of relevant organisations, the input it is moderated by the International Science Shop Contact Point. Once a year all organisations included in the database will be asked to check and correct their information to keep the database up to date. You will also have the opportunity to update your own information.
The development of the database was financially supported by the European Commission, under the project ISSNET (Improving Science Shop Networking) in the 5th Framework Programme of the European Community for Research, Technological Development and Demonstration Activities.
